OCD

Ok, so I have a new obsession. Seems there is always something new and exciting for me to obsess over....Anyhoo, this time, it is coupons!! I decided to start clipping coupons out of the newspaper a couple of months ago. But then I was introduced to a little thing I like to call "coupon club." No one talks about coupon club!! It was like this whole other world! These coupon freaks knew how to work a coupon like no other and they didn't want to share their secrets! Boy, was I intrigued!! I did my research, looked into a few blogs and websites, and in no time I was in the same boat as the other coupon freaks! Now when I walk into a store, I always have a stack of coupons in my hand ready to use.

Bryan says every sentence I say starts with "I have a coupon..." He should be excited about all the money I'm saving him, right?! I have done really well. I have learned how to work it and get lots of free or close to free things. I think we have our year supply of cereal and BBQ sauce, and salad dressing! I got the BBQ sauce and the salad dressing for free after coupon, and I didn't pay over $.88 for any of the cereal. It's become a new personal challenge of mine to see if I can beat my previous savings each trip to the grocery store. Today, I am happy to report, that I spent $18 at Albertson's and saved over $68!!! See, how can that not turn into an obsession?! At least this obsession, although it involves shopping, is centered around saving!!

A Happy Birthday To My Baby

My sweet baby turns 1 year old today. This year has flown by!

10 lbs 7 oz of my sweet Mady Moo Bear
such a little sweetheart!

her first Halloween

5 months old

she celebrated her birthday lunch at La Fiesta.
My sweet Mady Moo Bear, what a fun little baby she is. It's hard to believe she is already one year old. She has been such a blessing to our family. She has her own unique little personality. She loves to say "dada" and " no no no" and occasionally she throws in a "mama". She is walking a little. She can take several steps, she's just not too sure of herself quite yet. She loves to eat and we haven't found anything that she doesn't like yet. She weighs 27 lbs now and is the 75 percentile for her height and weight. I love my little precious and I am so thankful for having her in my life! This first year has been a blast and I look forward to what the next year has in store for my Moo bear!!

6 years....already?!

Today my little boy turns 6 years old! The last 5 years have flown by. Logan has been such a blessing to our family. He is truly one of a kind. He is such a positive, happy, kind little boy and he is always making us laugh. Although he is often getting bossed around by his sisters, he is so sweet to them. I laid Mady down in her bed the other day while I was making her bottle and by the time I got the bottle back to her Logan had filled her bed full of toys to help her stop crying. And when Brookie shut her foot in the door Logan ran over to her and gave her a hug.
Logan told me that he would still be my little boy when he was 6 years old. When I asked him if he'd still be my little boy when he was 16, he just said "ummmm...." Little does he know, he'll always be my little boy!

Just a Reminder...

Saturday, May 9th is the annual Post Office food drive. Don't forget to put some food out for your mailman! They love carrying food around on their routes! It's a great opportunity to fill your local food banks and get your cupboards cleaned out! My cupboards are so pretty now!
